When Mike was told he had early onset-Alzheimer’s the first thing he told his wife was, “That’s the shits because I was hoping I’d grow old with you.” Physically healthy and in great shape, Alzheimer’s starting taking a different toll on Mike at the age of 66.
Today Mike can only remember bits and pieces of his life and his past, but with the assistance of his wife Carolyn, she helps to refresh his memory. It wasn’t easy for Carolyn to place Mike into assisted living. A man who lived for his family, Carolyn and their children couldn’t ask for anything more.
