Rae Lyn Burke was one of the most prominent vaccine researchers in the United States, and has had many accomplishments under her belt. In the 1990’s, she focused her attention on finding a cure for Alzheimer’s. In 2008, her fight became personal when she herself was diagnosed with the disease. Since her diagnosis, she has continued her research and is participating in an experimental drug that is supposed to slow the progression of the disease.
