I’ve Always Wondered This! Watch What Happens When She Donates Her Hair! The Alzheimer's Site
Donating your hair is one of the most powerful gestures of support to those undergoing cancer treatment. But what actually happens after the ponytails get cut?
This video follows Hannah’s hair donation journey from first chop to the final finished product as a wig for a little girl with alopecia, named Bridget. Alopecia is an autoimmune disease where your body’s immune system attacks hair follicles, typically on the scalp, and causes hair to fall out in round patches.
Hannah doesn’t know Bridget, but she has thick, long, honey-blonde hair that she’s ready and willing to donate to kids in need! Her first stop, of course, is the salon, where her hair is parted into multiple ponytails over 10″ long and professionally cut.
But from there, what happens to her hair? Watch the video to see every step of this ultra-cool process. You’ll melt a little when you see the gratitude on Bridget’s face when she receives her new wig!!
