Christopher Eccleston Asks You To Share The Orange for Alzheimer’s Patients

The biggest misconception about dementia is that it is an inevitable part of old age. To fight this “misunderstanding and fatalism” around dementia, the makers of Wallace and Gromit have teamed up with Christopher Eccleston from Doctor Who for a 90-second video for Alzheimer's Research UK. In the video, Eccleston uses an orange to demonstrate how diseases that cause dementia physically attack the brain. Eccleston saw the eroding effect of dementia firsthand, when his father fought a fourteen-year battle with the disease.
