This Café Is SUCH A Great Idea! I Wish It Was Available In Every City!

A new trend that started in Europe is making its way to the U.S. Now Seattle, Washington, is home to a radical new type of café — one that caters specifically to those with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The café has a simplified menu, and provides comfort, social interaction, and even music to people with Alzheimer’s and their caretakers. Forgotten boundaries (like stealing a morsel off of someone else’s plate) and occasional outbursts are easily forgiven, and customers even receive name tags to help them remember the new friends sitting with them.
